Information on the destination

The resort-town of Jermuk is located in the south-eastern part of the Republic of Armenia, in a forest on the river Arpa, 173 km away from the capital. Jermuk (translated from Armenian as “hot source”) is located 2100 meters above sea level. The air in Jermuk is crystal clear, lacking in dust and saturated with the pungent aroma of flowers. The resort has a mountain climate with cool but dry summers and snowy winters.

On three sides the area is surrounded with the towering Syunik Mountain Range, Alpine meadows and forests. The mountain peaks reach up to 3000 meters. Arpa River flows through the town and a deep gorge divides it in half.

For centuries, Jermuk has been a first-rate mineral and restorative spa, first mentioned in the 1st century AD.

Healthful waters, moderate climate, large number of sunny days, the abundance of woods and alpine views make Jermuk not only a splendid health resort, but also an excellent place of leisure.
