Armenia is a true paradise for birdwatchers, as it hosts number of species from Western Palaearctic birding list; many of those are “lifers” for birders. Over 350 bird species are recorded in Armenia, while about 800 are recorded in entire Europe. Among over 350 bird species, more than 200 are breeding.
Day 1
Yerevan - Dilijan - Dilijan's suburbs
It seems the wooded valleys are just wonderful and there are plenty of birds, such as Semi-collared and Red-breasted Flycatchers, Eurasian Nuthatch, Green warbler, Hawfinches, Green, Great and Middle Spotted Woodpeckers, and some raptors. Overnight in the hotel in Dilijan.

Day 2
Dilijan - Sevan - Lichk - Yeghegnadzor
After breakfast : heading south to Lake Sevan + exploration of its shores – plenty of stops here. Targets : Armenian gulls, and whatever ducks, waders, terns, gulls, herons, warblers and wagtails can be found in this seazon. Via the Sulema Pass and teh caravanserail on the ancient Silk Road to Yeghegnadzor. Overnight in the hotel in Egheghnadzor.

Day 3
Yeghegnadzor - Jermuk's ravine (Gndevank) - Goris
Bearded vulture, golden eagle, snake eagle, goshawk, peregrin. There is a possibility to see an eagle owl and wallcreeper.

Goris - Shikaox - Megri - Agarak

Exploring the surroundings of Meghri
After breakfast we are in search of the some specialities of the region in casu Rufous-tailed and Black-eared Wheatears, Upcher’s Warbler, Eastern Orphean, Moustaceous and other warblers, Rock and Black-headed Buntings, as well as Levant Sparrowhawks and Syrian Woodpeckers.

Meghri's range and night trip to Kapan
Crossower for the trip. Snowcock and predators.

One more opportunity to see all the predators including gryphon. Trip to the monastery of Tatev.

Goris - Yeghegnadzor - Cave of Areni - Noravank - Yeghegnadzor
On the high plateau: Purple-breasted wings finch , in Norovank - Rock nuthatch, Upcher's warbler, white-throated robin.

Day 9
Yeghegnadzor - Ponds of Armashen - Vedi Gorge - Yerevan
Early drive to Armash ponds and the reedbeds in order to complete the list with ducks, herons, ibisis, lapwings, practincoles, warblers and many others. In the afternoon : up to Vedi Gorge where we still can find and observe some ‘rarities’ such as Trumpeter Finch, Pale Rockfinch, Isabelline and Finsches Wheatear and Grey-necked bunting.

Yerevan - Byurakan - Amberd - Yerevan - Evening flight
